Diamonds & Pearls

Under the steady watchful eye
We aim to move within the wind
Beneath the cover of the sky lies a world
With diamonds and pearls
Flowing where rivers used to be
Well before the exit sign
There's a turn that hides between
Flowing fields of heather and clementine
With Ivy entwined
Rolling like thunder clouds ahead
Falling in love is harder than it needs to be
When you won’t loosen up your heart
Try letting go of everything that holds you down
Before you walk away, we can work it out
Long before there was a light
Shining underneath the trees
Every branch would extend out towards the sun
So it's leaves can run
As raindrops keep falling to the ground
There doesn’t have to be another way, you can stay right here
(All along the road is paved with gold)

Running

I’ve been learning how to live without you day by day
Though your heart has moved on, your ghost is here to stay
All the tiny little places I knew to hide away
I brought you into and I can feel you there today
I was trying to swim and hold you in my arms
But our youth it failed us, and the wave carried you off
All I could do then is stand and watch
So I head back to shore and I left there running
All the letters that I wrote you read like a child
Who wanted his toys to know that they were prized
All it did in the end is wear them out
So it’s sure no surprise that you left there running
I’m not ready to go/ I find myself falling back to where you belong
Let’s hold on to anything we can hold/ reflections that keep me from not letting go
I'm running as fast as my legs can go/ nothing can keep me from moving too slow

Lisdoonvarna

Time to wake up sleepy head
Grab a sweater, make your bed
There's a cup of coffee waiting for you to arise
No more crossing off the days
We're brushing off our creaky legs
With only our thumb we hope to get from here to there
As the sun has paved our way
There's no better day than today to move it along
We’re on our way to Lisdoonvarna
With a dream in our hand
We’ll pass the time singing sweet songs
‘Till we reach the Motherland
In the shed we keep behind
The southern fields we hope to find
Any clue to bring us back to where we belong
There's a century of rust
Covered by a pound of dust
Underneath there lies the road our history walks on
Now the sun has paved our way
There's no better day than today to be moving on
We’re on our way to Lisdoonvarna
With a dream in our hand
We’ll pass the time singing sweet songs
‘Till we reach the Motherland
We're on our way to Lisdoonvarna
Where our dreams patiently stand
Despite the years passing slowly
We finally reach the motherland
We finally reach the motherland

Only You
04:15
|
|||
This may be a shot in the dark
But I was hoping you were home
Regardless how hard I may try
I just cannot be alone
So please, please slow it down
I’m having a hard time forgetting
How you and I come so close
But never finish anything
I’d give all that I have to give
For the chance to hear you sing
So please don’t walk away
Let’s decide on how to do this
Can we, we take our chance on a world that’s unreliable
There’s no doubt in my mind, what we share is undeniable
There's Only You
Only You
So please, open your eyes
What do you see but me beside you
Can we, we take our chance on a world that’s unreliable
There’s no doubt in my mind, what we share is undeniable
There's Only You
Only You

Luniere Portland, Maine
Songwriters Calen Perkins, Jason Roman and Geoff Zimmerman met at a coffee shop open mic. What began as a weekly sharing of original songs evolved into a full-fledged band. They added drummer, Eric Landau one year later. They now draw from their wide range of musical tastes to collaborate under the name "Luniere" on original songs that showcase vocal harmonies, pop, rock and folk influences. ... more
